Split Difference

During the summer between my first and second year, I designed eight tiny home floor plans, each exploring spatial efficiency and architectural expression. "Split Difference", a 684 sq. ft. residence, draws inspiration from Scandinavian culture and architectural aesthetics, incorporating warm wood paneling as a striking contrast to sleek metal siding.

The design prioritizes symmetry while thoughtfully distinguishing the function of each segment—both in its interior organization and external composition. This differentiation is achieved through a central architectural feature: the foyer, which acts as a physical and conceptual division, defining spatial experiences within the home.
